Pile Of Garbage

I just happened to be driving next to a "garbage hauling truck recently.
Who knew this image would come in handy? :-)

You have found a pattern in the clutter. Excellent. A sign of a good modern piece of art is if it looks good in any orientation (some artists would test their eye by rotating the painting). This works in any orientation IMO. -tv

I don't know about the text, I just photographed this which was actually laying horizontally on a truck bed. When I posted the image, I rotated it vertically because I thought it was more appealing and looked like a "pile". Thanks. Markjay

Nice clutter!
I see where bc is coming from though, the text on the red carton is reversed.

A couple of local photographers have put together a book of photos taken primarily of the refuse of an old paper mill. They went back in different seasons, at different times of day, and some of the images were very striking and powerful. This reminds me of some of them...and I can see why the strange orderliness of this discarded stuff would prompt you to take a picture.

RE: Mirror image? Not sure what you mean by that but.......
this was on a truck. I was on the side of the truck. I photographed it and rotated it vertically......

great clutter! and I love it when a maybe-it'll-come-in-handy-one-day shots pays off.
p.s. is there a reason why this is a mirror-image? all the text seems right to left...

I love the upper third and the lower third for its clutter feel. I think it is because of the almost legible writing on the cardboard that forces my eyes to notice it even when I don't want to. The center third without the writing (they must have stopped by somebody's neighborhood whose garbage consisted of gift boxes) allows my eyes to rest without wandering giving me a way out. Wonderful collection of garbage. John
