thanks, all!
CJ - I tried some of the stacked shells but lighting angle wasn't so great and through the translucent walls everything looked kind of murky. it seemed to need some "zip" from outside detail like this. but I may try again another time of day, or fiddle with a couple other shots I have. Rod your suspicions are probably right about this building, but I just can't keep up to the high standards you all around here set! :-)

Perfect composition and the dominant yellow stairs add to the shot. -COAmature
Great patterns b.c. and I love that bit of yellow, both in the stairs and the building in the b/g. This looks like a great place for pictures - can you get any of the stacked shells? :-) CJ

This is fine as it is but something tells me there's a special shot for this topic at the boathouse.
We have very high standards here & very good shots like this don't cut it, we only like masterpieces like wot I take:-) Well done anyhow B:-)
thanks Brent. yes, the stairs are outside translucent walls, made of either plastic or glass, I'm not sure. it's a rowing club boathouse and the rowing shells are stacked inside the walls. - b.c.
