Lovely Shu! The grain gives this a painterly look which is very appealing. Wonderful composition and lighting too. CJ

This is lovely Shu- really like your comp here. The grain does give it a nice soft texture. The dark areas on the leaves do look a little blotchy to me too for some reason (not hugely important). I wonder if that is just from my monitor not being able to displat the subtle gradients of green properly?

Wonderfully composed and lit. I like how the noise adds texture to the background, but isn't distracting. I do agree with Jano about the black spots on the leaves, look a little out of place.

Thanks, Jano. I adjusted it. Does it look less blotchy? shu

This is a case where I immediately upon first view though "wow a painting effect"... Then I note the blotchiness on the leaves which makes me think that perhaps there is over processing here. Everything works here for me except for the leaves. I can't tell whether it is the grain that over-accentuates the leaves or just a pp mishandle in a hue/sat. Background is lovely and shadowplay works wonderfully. jano

Brilliant colors. The purple background looks great with rich texture. I dunno about the shadlow noise though . . . it's a little blotchy. -- Bruce

I think you have found a good use of the added noise. The eye can easily focus on the bg texture now instead of finding an ambiguous depth surrounding the subject. The result is a flattening of the image and integration of bg with the subject. Very pleasing effect. Gorgeous colors too. -tv

Thank you Sue anne. These were sitting on a table minding their own business when I came up with my camera in order to change their look forever with the addition of noise. I thought about cloning the mottled look of the leaves but decided to leave as is since it does add a bit of contrast. This is not your usual "noisy" pic but I like it. shu

Nice ! and I find color with noise is harder to accomplish than b/w - and beautiful flowers.
