Correct, Rod. It was indeed many hours before sunset. It was overcast and I knew I could push those clouds to wonderful drama. Once I brought out their contrast, I couldn't resist the color. :) ~ Lonnit

I don't think the sun sets in the time it took Lonnit to cross the bridge Tommy:-) Now I wonder how that colour got in the picy:-)...............I know I know bugger off Rod:-)

Just another gorgeous LI sunset, except for the bridge silhouette which makes is a noteworthy accomplishment. Good crop and processing. Being so close, I'm envious. -tv

I think "grand" is an excellent adjective here! Thank you. :)

I assure you, there was no mailbox for me to sit in as I crossed the Throgs Neck bridge, looking out over this. The thing is that I was sitting in the car, shooting over the concrete wall of the bridge I was on, as we drove. The whole bottom of this image is nothing but ugly wall, so skinny crop is my only option. Fortunately that format fits the subject matter quite nicely. I would have cropped it like this even if I could have stood up to shoot. :) ~ Lonnit

The peaks of the bridge helps me to accept this shot you must have taken from inside a mail box. You did really well getting a nice shot from such a confined opening:-) The clouds receding away gives me the distance information. Nicely done megirl:-)
