Well, we've got enough of 'em to dedicate one to trucks! LOL! ~ Lonnit

Outstanding for a through-the-car-window shot. Otherwise just terrific and monumentally "waw" (great word). Also great colors. With just a little cloning, you could tell the tourists it is NYC's truck-only bridge. -tv

This was shot right thru the windshield. As far a size goes, I never want the image to be large enough that the whole thing won't fit in the window without scrolling. Additionally, I sell my images as stock, so I don't like to display them big enough to be able to be used in print w/o my permission. ~ Lonnit

I like all three of your posts, but this one is my favorite Lonnit. Nice detail considering you were moving at the time (side window or sunroof technique?). I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but it seems I often find myself wondering why so many of your images are posted relative small. Why not show off more of a good thing and go as close to the allowable size as you can as long as the quality holds up? It seems this dosn't have so much detail that it couldn't have been bigger and under 150K.

Thanks, guys. I was thrilled that I was able to get the reds in there, making it pretty much a 3-color image. I will confess, that traveling full speed over the bridge, there was not much time to compose for anything much more than the arch and rails. The traffic pretty much had to be random. When I spotted the red I knew it screamed to be pumped up because it was such a beautiful composition with the double trucks and the red lights on the back of the other. I think the color processing turned a mundane shot into one with tremendous presence, in a style along the lines of the images I fall in love with in PDN or Communication Arts. It's precisely what I was going for, and I'm so excited that I pulled it off! So, your appreciation of it means lots!! ~ LOnnit

Yes Nicely done it's a very good distance shot init. At first I though the reds were a bit overcooked but the triangle of the three reds really lifts it from being a standard shot. It's a goodun Lonnit:-)

Love this photo. It looks so real, both at the photographic level and in real life. Photographically, the tiny bit of off center composition makes you want to look more. The colors (green and blue) are in harmony, only to be broken by very courageous red. As for real life, I bet you could hear those trucks running, and smell the diesel engines in the air.

Basically, that's what I meant by "waw" :)
