I like this version better. The gradual darkening of the blue is beautiful, and the diagonal line is like the icing on a cake. I also like the unusual color of the clouds.

The distance is obvious to me here the way the clouds recede away in the shot but I think they look a little hard (poss noise) for what should be puffy type clouds. Well taken Tom:-)

no aircraft window, just high ground, shot with the tele.
the distance was quite a challenge,the lens was used at 280 mm.

"Fine" is relative. IMHO, this is fine too, as in original for this challange, intriguing technique, contrasting and balanced colors, and intriguingly abstract. The "distance" effect is clearly in play here because of the contrast between the dark low clouds and the wispy white cirrus clouds far away. Is this through an aircraft window? -tv
