Sunlight illumination against a dark sky provides for dramatic scenes when well exposed. This is perfect as a gorgeous country panorama. But I can't think of the trees as a frame because they are too much a part of the subject. -tv

Incredible! You were there at a great time for that light! (& now I know what gum trees look like) Thanks.

You just can't beat this light, gnarly trees and all. Beautiful work! jano

Very nice light and color Andy! And the cottage looks as well framed as some of the other images here. A crop of the bottom up to the roots and on the right side up to the tallest tree might enhance the "framed" feel though. Just a thought! CJ

Yes very nice light & a nice scene well done Andy. It's not what I would call a framed shot but maybe the foreground & background trees can at a stretch be called framing a:-)

Thanks for the affirmation ppl. Not sure if the gums created enough of a frame but thought I would give it a go.

Paul, this cottage is just off the road near a small town called Sedan, South Australia This was hand held as I was in a hurry to beat that strom cloud back to the car..
