The leaves framing the shot are spoiling the shot as they're overexposed in comparison to the rest of the shot. These long exposures do have a nice look to them but care is needed to pick an evenly lit scene. I'm sure Tom would have some great looking shots from this shoot hopefully without the brighter framing leaves.

This is so beautiful. My only nitpic is the bh in the front leaves...but that almost adds to the fantasy feel of the image. Well done and good thinking on the exposure xp. jano

A wonderful image, indeed, tomiboi! It sure would be interesting to see the exif-data. — db.

I'm surprised and kind of upset that not many people are commenting on this great photo.

Regardless. Tom, you have to print it big and be proud of it. Excellent work.

it was a happy night, aam!
some 40 captures in five hours, maybe seven keepers.
I'll come up with some more later.
thanks

I keep coming back to your photo, Tom. Love it, and it has a somewhat 3D feel to it too.

Have to try long exposure outdoors (done 15 minutes indoors).

Wonderful photo and great exposure! Although the foreground could be considered "hot", overall I think it works great! Very nice!
Brent 02-May-2007 17:07
Wow, a four minute exposure. It turned out very nice. I love the dreamy quality created by the glow and presence of stars. Excellent!

Really good, Tom. What's the exposure time, looks like a long one.
