Thank you for all of your compliments! Aam1234, I looked for the b&w image of Ed which was taken while he was writing and could not find it. I am happy to hear your remembered it and as I think back, you gave numerous complimentary comments. Thanks again. I think portraiture would be my second choice for doing photography but, alas, no subjects are readily available! Also lighting equipment is needed and there is no room in this tiny condo for that......of well, I can enjoy all of the great entries in this challenge.shu

Just gorgeous, the colors, the skin tone and quality, the lighting. Really well done! -Christina

This pic evokes emotion - and the color balance for the skin is tack on. Well done. Congrats. jano

Very nice portrait, Shu...full of character. I like the close cropping here.

Hi Henry. The title confused me, made me worry about Ed and Shu.

Indeed this is a great portrait, you should see the other one too, which I think is one of Shu's best. Do you have a link to it, Shu.

What do you mean, you don't know much about portraits? These are fabulous and this one is just so emotive!! My favorite and a good shot at being the best of the group! - Henry

Thanks, and what a relief! Your title made me think of other things. Glad I was wrong.

Also, agree with you, this one along with one of my favorite portraits (remember that one?) are great. You are good at portraits, Shu ... and glasses too :)

I was doing some shots of Ed and asked him to think of something "sad." His eye watered (he later told me he thought of an old friend who had recently died) and I snapped this. I think it's the best pic I ever took of him. He's a wonderful man. shu
