Makes my mouth water! You really brought out the yellow in the pulp.

This works so well because of the minimal yet reflective lighting on the kiwis. There is little to suggest for improvement other than it would have given more separation to have the bottom foreground lemons show more yellow and tranlucent and less green like the kiwis.

This is simply gorgeous... with the lighting you achieved, glistening against the fruit. Wonderful! jano

Thanks Rod and Carole. I put the flash opposite to the camera, pointing to the lemon slices. The look of the kiwis is caused by the very low angle of the flash and the fact that my wife used a small serrated knife to slice them. The lemon decoration of this fruit cake just lent itself for experimenting with backlighting but actually, it looked much better in natural light - and the cake was really delicious. -gerald

Do you think Gerald used the glow filter Carole:-)hehe

Nice looking composition Gerald and interesting processing to make those kiwi virtually glow! CJ

What a nice looking arrangement & for some reason I like the natural look of the lemons juxtaposed with the strange look of the Kiwi fruit. Very nicely done Gerald:-)
How did you create the look on the Kiwi fruit?
