WOW!! Thanks all, for your kind comments. If you'd seen how I took this pic you'd laugh. I was standing on a 3' high planter wall in our greenhouse with my cam's lens close against one of our solar windows. This little guy/girl was out on a pole of our hot tub cover, doing what squirrels do, looking for food/getting in as much trouble as possible. It was a high-cloud day, hence the subdued lighting, and that bokeh is the forest, way off in the background. This pic was converted from the RAW file, levels, curves and I cloned-out a bird feeder hanging from the end of the pole. Your comments are much appreciated. Cheers, -mikey

Excellent. Like the lighting here...even and subdued. For me its the hilites on the bushy tail is what makes the picture. - RK

This is a terrific squirrel shot Mikey! Love the bokeh, color and texture to the branch and fur, and he looks really isolated out on the edge of that branch! CJ

Great capture, Michael! Not sure how much more one can isolate a squirrel than this :-) Markjay

A really splendid composition and nice bokeh. One of the best squirrel shots I've seen. Great job here Michael.
