Thanks Jano!!
Hmmm, I think I will have to look into the idea you suggest. If it works, it will also help in what RK's take is on this photo. I am at office and don't have access to the original photo I uploaded and don't have a good tool to do a crop and such. So this will have to wait till I go home. Hope I get enough time to do it before the voting starts. I am thinking of a square crop where the pod starts a little above the left bottom corner, slightly otside the left edge, and leave equal areas around the other 3 edges. Hmm I wish I could test it out and upload it. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Great creativie idea Cat. This does give the feeling of isolation. I think it would work better for me though if the stalk went all the way down to the left. Just my opinion, as this without the stalk gives it more of a cut and paste look. I know this is what you intended...but in my mind I see it cropped off the left to not show the end of the pod and that way it works perfectly (for me anyway) :) jano

Thanks a bunch!!! all of you. I appeciate the feedback.
Mary Anne, as Christina pointed out, I kept single pod over a clean glass about 4 inches on above the rest of the pods.
RK, I took multiple shots with various distances between the fore and background. + tried arranging the scattered pods in the background. I liked this one the most, may be because of the randomness of the patterns and also subtleness of the shapes, which are out of focus, yet identifyiable. Also this particular photo gave the best "floating pod" feel than other combinations, which I liked.

Cat, you are really ramping up on creativity. It is very on-topic.
But, I find the background bit too distracting.

Excellent capture, there is so much to read into this photo, but "Podcast" describes it nicely. - Henry

Wow! A glass table top is what I'm going to guess was used here. Wonderful work!

Very nice, Cat. I don't know how you did it, but I like it.

That's so surreal that it almost looks cut&paste.....
Crazy photo.

This clearly meets the theme and the Jaws effect adds a smile effect to the image. The isolated bean pod really floats above the background. Is it propped up or is this due to PP?
