It's dead centered in my book, and good picture too.

If you have to explain a shot too much its a sign that its not working Charlie:-)

Charlie - this is perfectly on-topic to me so doen't even THINK about removing it! There will always be differences in opinions in these challenges so if it doesn't work for someone, they don't have to vote for it - it's as simple as that. :-) CJ

One more thing occurs to me. Did you notice the dark, curved lines, extending from the center to the edges like the blades of a fan or the impeller of a pump, lines that seem to disappear into the bright light in the center in the way water disappears down a drain?

Many thanks for the comments and for the good wishes.

I am absolutely willing to let the voters decide, but if I had not thought this shot was “center weighted,” I would not have entered it. Please note that except for one image that comes close, there is no entry in this challenge for which the subject is a single point. So then, how far from dead center is the subject allowed to extend, before it is no longer considered “center-weighted”?

This image comprises over fifty circles, and every one shares the same center. Also, the silhouetted structures and trees that frame the subject tend to draw my eye towards the center.

Charlie is new here so be nice to him:-)

This is a great picture...do agree with Markjay...maybe a rectangular crop? - RK

I like honest views on photos. What you said Mark is very refreshing, regardless whether I agree with it or not.

Can you take a look at my entries and give your honest opinion please. Thanks.

It's a great shot charlie but (no offense please) I'm going to have to totally disagree with the comments that this is center weighted. I don't think I personally have reached my goal of a center weighted image but, this image has my eyes roaming all over the circular pattern... not just the center. Maybe it's because the subject fills the frame to fully (as Rod and others have suggested does not work well for center weighted theme?). Thank you for sharing this, it's a great shot but, center weighted? Voters will decide for sure :-) Markjay

Very cool and dead on topic, well done Charlie.

How come Brent never posted something like that before as he lives in Seattle too.
Rod 24-Jan-2007 07:39
It works very well, well done Charlie:-)
Brent 24-Jan-2007 06:28
Very cool effect that certainly draws you in to the center. Good work Charlie.
