5 (tie) - Architectural Elements
by Markjay

I took notice of these just a couple of hours ago, on the side of a real estate office.
They (the staff) sure were looking at me strangely like...... what is that guy doing!!!?
These are actually three wooden posts sticking out as wall decorations on the building.
The afternoon light made for interesting shadows, which is what caught my eye along

:-) Gawd now we won't have any fun:-)

You insulted my sig... now it's really bleeding! :-)
The pain and suffereing are just too much, I shall refrain from putting any sigs that are too noticeable on any future images in these challenges....
yes, that's how much we love you Rod! Markjay
Rod 08-Oct-2006 10:37
I knew this was a MJ shot as well from the thumbnail............................as I could still see the bleeding sig:-)

I like it for all the same reasons as everyone else. I guess it is Florida, but it makes me think of New Mexico.

i like the texture, shadows and especially simplicity. -Abstract

Terrific shot Mark! Very nice composition and I like how the textures of the wall and posts turned out and the angle of the shadows. Nice minimalistic image! CJ

I knew this had to be a MJ. Well done.

Photography is quite old now too Aaammm why don't you familiarise yourself wiv it. I don't want to be forced to look at someone’s ego when I view a picy & I will always say so. I don’t have to look at the names of the great photographers when I view their work so it’s a bit strange to see any of us doing it.

Waw. Great job Mark. This is simply great, love it.

To Rod, please drop the sig (and border) things, it's getting really old. Thanks mate.
Rod 07-Oct-2006 04:01
It's hard not to look at it, me eyes tend to go where the photographer directs them................if they're any good:-)

Great find Mark. - RK

If you don't like the sig, Rod... don't look at it! :-)
Rod 07-Oct-2006 01:20
The lighting & shadows look really nice, but the shadow on the sig looks really silly I'm amazed you don't find that visually abhorrent……..like wot I do:-)

Nice findings. (thanks for the story behind or I'd be trying to figure it out. ;) )
