Yeah, the thumbnail suggests a Terry Gilliam-esque blending of fish and human face - very strange but effective photo.

Wow, what a face. I seem to be having the same reaction as everyone else, It looks like a human trapped in a fish body. Well done Yvonne.

Nice find! Great colors and comp. The softe appearance does bother me. The fish does look like a human face. -Cat

I'm going to have to be the outsider and say that I liked the other better. I'm not trying to change your mind, just to let you know there are supporters out there for it! Both are great though!

Wonderful color and composition! Blurry makes this image, IMO. shu

The face looks human in the thumbnail, nicely shot & very colourful init:-) Nice one Y.

The colors, the compostion, the look from the fish all make this a great entry.

You know ladies, these were the largest KOI I have ever seen in my life, they must eat small hams. I am bringing back number one as I do like it better myself, I like the blurry feel of it with the "monster" face. Yvonne

Looking at this in the thumbnail I discovered that it is better to see it smaller, not quite so much in our faces! I reduced it to medium from original and liked it a lot better. The colors are really wonderful. ~Sharon

I really like the other fish picture better Y and didn't think it needed to be "sharp" as it is under water and your processing made it look abstract anyway. Besides, the mouth area on this one looks a little too bright on my monitor. Bring back the other one - I loved the colors and composition in that one!!!! CJ

Wow, I never knew you could look right down the throat of a fish! You are right, this is more in focus but I don't like it as much as the other one, it really had the better "face"! How big were these fish? These shots make them look like small whales! ~Sharon
ctfchallenge03-Sep-2006 19:08
ok, this face is not nearly as "cute" as the previous guys, but it is in better focus. Yvonne

Wow! What a great shot! So abstract in some ways. Excellent work here. The colors, the crazy patterns. I love it!
elips03-Sep-2006 18:37
Oh my goodness, what a face! The colors here are brilliant and the view is definitely downward. It is too bad that it seems a little shook but it is worth it anyway just for that look! ~Sharon

wonderful :o)))

Good colors, Yvonne, but I think that something in the shot needs to be more sharply focused. I know it's not easy with fish, who just don't seem to understand how to pose for our cameras. LOL
