well it wasnt that hard :) turn on IS and shoot 1/4 second exposure - which is the slowest i can get sharp photos hand held with IS.

i had a blur shot i wanted to do in times square. i set up my tripod and the cops asked me for a permit. of course i didnt have one. the officer said it was for anti-terrorism. she acknowledged i wasnt blocking the sidewalk or endandgering traffic or cars. she said i could shoot all i want, but without a tripod. i later found out that this is not really applicable for amateurs, but for commercial shoots & student filmmakers. since 9/11 there has been a certain overzealousness in enforcing this rule incorrectly. ill be back though.

it's amazing how you managed to have such a similar (great) result, good work :o)

yes i did go reshoot at the same place (9th street path station is right) i did so for a contest on dgrin - since on saturday since i was in the city- and then noticed this ctf challenge and figured, what the heck :) i hadnt planned on it otherwise i would have asked my friend and gf to wear cooler outfits. maybe a 3rd time is the charm?

i took a few of cars in motion but still like this the best even though it is a rehash of a previous effort - wanted to see how it stands up in voting from not just a judge, but from forum members (both websites).

Super lines and nice contrast between the two (moving and nonmoving) subjects. Nice. -- Bruce-

Indeed, not only the pose of the boy, but even a nearly identical step of the girl. The similarity is unbelievable :o) ...anyhow, the blur works well for me.

hmmm... - looks suspiciously similar (identical location & pose) to your winning entry in CTF Mini -Challenge #113! not that there's anything wrong with that :)
anyhow nice blur, and I love the flowing lines of the conduits leading you through the image. though somehow I like the original photo better where the 2 subjects were wearing black - b.c.
