Also my fave. I also like this reshoot better than the original I remember. I especially like the layers of the OOF background and how the blue and green colors blend in and complement each other so nicely. I must say I also like the golden hues in the original and it is more of an abstract piece which I do find appealing.

Been back at work a full week now, it was a bit of a struggle after 6 weeks off especially with a lot to do around the house when we got back.

The problem i had with the first shot was mainly all those blown highlights:>)

That's photography for ya init. I really like the shot below as much if not better as it's more a study in shapes & light. I do like this one but it's more predictable & obvious but I do really like the lighting & the blue background.
Are you back at work yet?

I thought the first shot was very ordinary which was a shame as the other 2 are good but this one is much better and i now think it's my fav especially the blue background, it evokes the same feelings as Vonnies golden glow in her field shots.

Hi Rod, I love the color blends in this shot. Very complimentary. You did good with the composition as well, what an eye......Yvonne

I like this best of the three Rod. CJ may be onto something to have the fronds a little more OOF- but that would maybe just be icing on an already great image. Goodun'!

Definitely! Love the color and texture of the bamboo but wish the frond were a little further back and OOF on the right as it is on the left. I like the composition here, but I did like the composition of the previous version too. The blue BG looks good too Rod. CJ

Is the new shot better? Here's the old one for comparison
Rod 30-Jul-2006 08:40
Will have a play with it Cats although it seems to sit right with me. Thanks mate:-)

Simplicity is the charm here. I would prefer the vertical central line of seperation, aligned at a slight angle OR not placed in the middle.. BW conversion also might be another possibility on this one. -Cat
