Nice series Jano. Must have been fun experimenting and getting some good results.

Thanks Barbara, CJ and Aam. Actually my first pic in this series was the middle one which inspired to try salt in action. I had never tried it, and discussed in the chat, and given some good advice by Techo. I then set up the tripod, 420ex, the lighting, and took the third shot in this series. I was impressed on how the salt grains showed up, especially against the white. I then decided to see if I could get a little closer. But I need an assist lamp with this as my natural light had faded and I needed help to focus. I cleaned up the shaker, strapped on a head lamp for the assist, focused, set the timer, and did about 5-6 shots of this. This one turned out the best, had the most clarity, but not as many crystals except for those three little guys. I decided I liked the symentry in any case, considered myself lucky to have captured it. And yes, I had lots of salt over my floor :) jano

Yes, we would like to know.

Nice series but this is my fav of the 3 Jano - great macro! How did you catch those 3 little grains of salt like that - I'd have salt all over the place if I tried that - I'd have to lay the shaker down and place those little grains on a backdrop or PS them in! ;-) CJ

Excellent series! Love how they are connected to each other too. WTG Jano.
