Mary Anne, This shot is really right on, topic, lighting, and composition. It is so amazing your work. Again, the camera does not make the photographer, the photographer makes the camera; in your case, you make it "sing". Yvonne
(that said, I would highly reccomend the XT LOL)
Thanks for your comments, David. I have the same complaints about the G3, plus the relative diffidulty in controlling DOF. Since you already had a Canon, what made you choose the Nikon D50 over the Digital Rebel? I've been dithering around about getting a DSLR for awhile now.

Nicely done Mary Anne. I especially like the way the pigeon on the right has his left eye illuminated by the light. For me that is the focal point - it is the small glimpse of orange that draws my eye into the picture.
The G3 is a smashing little camera - I still use mine quite often - but the slow start-up and shutter lag really can be a pain! Buy yourself a Nikon D50! :-)
Thanks, Jano. I had to wait awhile for them to position themselves nicely in that shaft of sunlight. It really shows the advantages of digital...I couldn't bear to waste half a roll of film trying to get them at just the right moment. Of course, my film camera also didn't suffer from shutter lag.
