"Drug" or "drag": anyway, the link you provide is very useful, indeed. Many thanks for sharing! -- db.

Aha! This link sums up the differences quite nicely:http://www.usd.edu/trio/tut/ps/transform2/ (not sure about the use of 'drug' as past tense of 'drag' ;o) ) - for just doing a bit of straightening they are pretty much the same...

Thank you, HT: yes, I enjoy the contrast between this picture and the next as well. And I feel somewhat at home at both places... (loving the “best” of each one) -- db.

wonderful place to be

I'm afraid, Ric, you got me there...: the "skew" and the "distort" tools are to be found at the same place (edit > transform). I had a look at the one you use but could not see--at first glance--what the difference is. Anyone?? -- db.

The title is just for the challenge, Techo: I was looking for one single--short and eye-catching--word. Thanks a lot for your taking the time to comment, to give your opinion and state the reasoning behind it! -- db.

I like this one a lot. Must admit my first thought was , crop out the yellow facade on the left but after looking at it again, I would leave the crop as it. For the pic to focus on what the title is telling us I'd crop, but without titling and to portray the vision you wanted to show, leave it. Either way I do like this one.

Thanks, Ric; and, yes: cropping in PS after using the "distort"-tool to get all vertical lines vertical and all horizontal ones horizontal... (Sounds logical, I know, but it isn't always easy.) -- db.

Great picture - I love the pixel precise cropping - and possibly squaring up in Photoshop?

I'm looking forward to receiving more opinions on that. Many thanks, Mary Anne, for coming back here! -- db.

Daniel, I think this is definitely better than showing just the one building, but I haven't decided whether it would be better to show more of the yellow building. Let's see what other people say.

Thank you for commenting, Mary Anne! I did that framing on purpose with a goal in mind: not losing detail showing too much and, nevertheless, giving the idea of not showing just *one single* facade but a typical one for a whole street or even village. I may have failed in this attempt...? — db.

Wonderful colors here, Daniel, especially in the windowboxes. However, I'm not so sure about how/where the right side is cropped. It feels as if you need to show at least part of the windows on the yellow house, but I guess that's just a matter of personal preference.

Thanks a lot, Billy: you’ve been really fast! I just had uploaded the three images, and there was already your comment. Thanks! — db.
