Funky bird - I love how he seems to be staring right at you. :)
Brent 26-Jan-2006 04:48
Nice shot of a very cool bird.

Yes I think the contrast can make shots look over sharpened. I will wait for your reworked version but this shot has that difference that I like, sort of a high key look.

Thanks Jano and Rod. Used USM with 100/1/0 parameters...but used a good dose of contrast... maybe thats what causing the effect. I will re-work this picture.

See RK, you said a couple of my shots were over sharpened & me girlfriend Jano is paying you back:-)hehe

RK - for whatever reason, this seems a little oversharpened to me, especially the branches the bird is sitting on - maybe just my eyes? Beautiful shot nonetheless and very colorful bird that you captured - and those eyes!!! jano

Thanks Rod...wasnt sure about the background..it was extremely tricky lighting..happy with the outcome..decided to post this over other shots.

This works really well for me with the great lighting & the background doesn't overpower the shot as it's not pure white. Nice work RK it has a lovely feel to it.
