Chemically Enhanced *

Roca NE

This poor horse was situated right next to an ammonia plant where they had this giant storage container that was hissing as I was taking this picture and I was gagging and spewing and tears were shooting out of my eyes so badly I could hardly see through the camera. I just aimed the camera in the right direction and hoped for the best. I don't know how this poor horse can survive next to this place for so long! I keep driving by waiting to see him belly up. :(

I like the processing here Britt along with your description and title - they fit together nicely. Ammonia aside, I bet this would be a beautiful pic with the natural colors? I like your interpreation, however. jano

Thanks Rich and CJ. I'm not sure if there is anything to report. I mean the plant has been there forever that I remember and these people have lived here quite awhile. One would think that they would move if it bothered them that badly. Maybe they are just immune to it and I am hypersensitive to it? Although I don't know how anyone can be immune to ammonia - ACK!! Maybe that's why the brick silo is so broken down...!

I like the composition of this picture and my eye was immediaely drawn to the storage silo with that eerie glow around it. I was sad to read about the horse having to live in that environment - it sounds like a health hazard for everyone, not just the horse! Can you report this to anyone? This picture makes a very strong statement. CJ

The horse looks like it has a halo around it. Should we call the humane society? Rich

From the thumbnail I thought this looked too over processed but was pleasantly surprised to see it works really well even without your description, & quite powerful with the description. Nice work Britt:-)
