Nice warm colors here, Sharon, and I think the motion of the pendulum is essential to the image. On the other hand, I wonder if more of the clock should be included to provide the weights with a context. Maybe I'm just showing my ignorance, but I don't think I would know what I'm looking at without the written description. And my art teacher would ask why it's even necessary to know what I'm looking at. (I should add that I disagreed with him for most of the semester.)

This is great! Hard to keep time still - and I think there is just enough clarity that this works very well. jano

Thanks for your comments, Yvonne and Rod! I wanted the pendulum moving to indicate the passage of time. Also, it was in a hotel lobby and was so clean and shinny it reflected everything in the room! Happy New Year to you! ~Sharon

Yes the same shot with clearer blob things would be spot on. Nice shot.

elips, I like this concept and there is something really magical about Grandfather clocks. I tried a similiar shot with the clock moving and found I could not capture the feel I wanted. I would like this even more if the pendulum was more clear.
