You did good Steve!!! The comp and overall atmosphere is excellent. Photowise it is excellent work. My only take on this, as long as the theme goes... is.... this is the last place one should feel "all alone", but you have a very appropriate title to this which clarifies the issue. -Cat

Hi Steve,

Thanks for reposting with a new crop. I like this one a lot more. In comparison to the old version this one works a lot better, while the old crop now looks a bit odd.

I have had a play round with the crops, and rescued some space on the left. I would be interested to hear which one people prefer. The old one can be found here for comparisonhttp://www.pbase.com/photodreams/image/51807985 - Thanks Steve.

Thanks everyone for the great comments, I'll try and play with some more crops tonight when I get home.

This was taken in 12th-14th Century church that is no longer used for regular worship, a beautiful location. There are some more details here:http://www.visitchurches.org.uk/FeaturedChurch.asp?ChurchID=f_73
Thanks again - Steve

Excellent lighting (exposure). The center window is almost god like with light streaming in. The walls really have character. The silhoutte of the person with the cross behind his/her legs (great eye)really, really adds to the picture The only suggestion (*) I would make is that the picture is a little unbalanced to the right (facing the picture). Crop it a tad bit.
Again love the ligthing and exposure in this picture.

Yes, it has wonderful depth in more ways than one! Beautiful! shu

Very rustic and atmospheric chapel for this lovely image. Very unique. With the person centered, I think I would like to see it cropped on the right or have more of the wall on the left, but like Techo said, this works well also. jano

A very peaceful and thought invoking capture. At first I thought a crop of the right side would work to really center the image on the person in prayer but then I reckon it would look too mirrored and lose a bit of the atmosphere of the surroundings but it works boths way.

Had to come back to it. It's simply...majestic.

Excellent, Steve.

Lovely image. Nice capture of all those tones of gray. The place looks so old and austere, but peaceful. Where is it?
