I know what you mean Techo (about the upper part). Without it I think it will look too static, or even staged (which is not the case).

Reminds me of the film, Home Alone. Getting up in the morning and everyone is gone! At first I thought a crop off the top would help but then again the photo wouldn't look as open and the boy would look too confined.
