I have a sweet spot for berries ;) I like red berry against the repeating pattern of the background, works very nicely together. Nicely exposed too.

Jano, to get that sheen on fresh blueberries you can give them a very quick bath in some very hot almost boiling water. Well I didn't nessacerly go for that sheen just noticed it while I needed to give them that extra wash. But you have to work fast before they dry out.

The frozen or just thawing blueberries give an interesting sheen to this photo that you would have not been able to acheive with fresh ones I think. Comp is well done and just scrumptious looking :) Very nice Todd. jano

I think that luck was with you Todd not being able to get fresh blueberries as I think it would have turned out more like the shots I'm not keen on. There's a quality to this background you have that just possibly is the result of the different look of frozen fruit....................................& your vision of course:-) Lovely shot.

Thanks! Yes, those are blueberries...I wanted to use fresh blueberries, but I couldn't find any at the local grocery stores, so I had to go with frozen instead...Not quite what I wanted, but it still has the general effect I was looking for.

Damn - well there goes my idea! Nicely executed. I think the contrast of the red strawberry works well against the darker blueberries (they are blueberries?

I'm not normally too keen on these sort of shots but this works really well, & you have kept the highlights under control. Well done Todd I really like this shot mate:-)
