Aerial view of a wheat field. Oops! :-) Sorry... it's actually a closeup
of a CMOS semiconductor wafer. A single "chip" measures approx 7 x 7 mm.
The gold colour is a coating layer which unfortunately obscures some of the underlying circuitry's detail.

Matrix metering, Av mode, 1/60 sec f/7.1 at 21mm. Stacked +1 +2 +3 closeup lenses, manual focus set to minimum focus distance. External flash from left side (550EX + Off Camera Shoe Cord 2). White balance = flash.
Post-processing: Photoshop 5.5 cropped from 2272x1704 JPEG (no resize), rubber stamp, unsharp mask. full exif
