Well, you have had alternatives to cloning, of course:
- wait together with your model until there will be an empty passage ahead and make her walk in a right moment
- or, if this is not posed, patiently wait until a right lady will pass AND a passage will be empty
So, undistinguishable effect can be achieved without cloming. This is my criterion: I use cloning only in such situations (except cloning out unwanted wires and branches, of course)

Thanks a lot, alexeig, for commenting! I do understand what you mean and why you say it; nevertheless, as a professional journalist I'd never do that (as far as these things go, I do belong to the same school as Traveller). Thanks anyway! — db.

This is very nice and would be even nicer if you clone out the distant people, not a big deal

Sorry for repeating the same comment (I'm a little embarrassed). Looking forward to see more of your photos db.

Thanks a lot, aam1234, for coming back to this picture of mine and for giving your opinion frankly! Please, do not doubt: I’ve taken note of it; I really have. — db.

I love Cristina's dress movement. As a matter of fact I tried to comment on this photo few times but it seems Pbase or my connection weren't working.

But really db, let's be frank here if I may. Don't you think this photo is full of life and energy. I love your architecture photos, I really do, but maybe just a slight (almost invisible) movement could be a good thing.

let's take your entry in the CSLR challenge as an example (the one I really like). Imagine birds flying in the far distance of the sky, almost not noticeable. Wouldn't you think that that will add something to the (already beautiful) photo.

Glad to have you back here, aam1234! I had already been afraid you might have missed these entries with what you usually miss most in my images: «live things/creatures» (as you called them the other day) ;-)) db.

This is my favorite. Love the sense of movement, especially her dress movement, it brings the photo to life.

Thanks, Lonnit! — db.

She doesn't really seem lonely to me, but it is a beautiful picture. :) ~ Lonnit

Though I don't agree with you in this case, Britt—I'd call texture what you consider to be noise—I do like your «word-picture» about the sound in the image. — db.

I think I like this one better, probably due to the sense of movement and the repeated intricate form of the arches.

I think I like the previous entry better, as this one "sounds" a bit more noisy to me.
