I hadn't opened this thumbnail until now and hadn't noticed there was a face behind the neon. Classic Lee shot once it's opened:>) I love the way it looks as if you're pulling your cheeks apart with those uncoloured parts of the neon tubes.

Great one Lee! The colors are brilliant ! -Cat

That's better Lee, no more flat head. Due to the Gestalt theory of course:-)
Guest 11-Jun-2005 02:51
Great, Lee. * agree, get rid of the spot on the nose.
Rod 10-Jun-2005 22:38
Lee you had a black border on a black background!!! That is original:-)
Guest 10-Jun-2005 21:30
Thanks ladies! I will delete the border. Not sure about cloning the nose thought. I kind of liked the shadow of the neon.
ctfchallenge10-Jun-2005 18:18
About his head... it's always been flat! LOL! As for the picture, teriffic! I would like to see you clone out the dark spot on the nose - it is quite distracting. If you would indulge my complete anality, I believe I would crop off the extra black space to the sides, and add a smidge of black space to the top - it should all be the width of the black that is currently on the bottom. All the other technical aspects of exposure, etc., are just right. Wonderful job! ~ Lonnit

Awesome! The idea, the colors, the technical execution (must be hard photographing bright neon lights) - everything. Oh, yes, and we knew your face IS your signature :-p

Great advice Lee, thanks.
ctfchallenge10-Jun-2005 10:41
Thanks All! The picture is the same as posted. I will look into centering.

Techo, the neon was a gift from my mother last christmas. Knew I could use it in a photograph some day. 8-)

Aam1234, Not sure on how to share creativity, but my word of advise would be to look around you for a style that you like. Then try to put your self in that photographers shoes. How would they do the shot? What would they shoot? This is what I have done over these challenges and it has helped my learn and develop.

Good shot Lee, well done. I didn't see the first shot but if you have followed Shu's advice about adding black at the top, then you have created another problem. A flat head mate:-)
ctfchallenge10-Jun-2005 03:50
It's a beauty!! My cup of tea! Would it be possible to add black to the top of the image so that it appears more centered? If you do, I think it would be perfect! Shu

awesome! where did you find that :)

Your imagination is endless. Can I borrow some?

Love the colors and idea.
