That's a nice thoughtful way to try & shoot something a bit different, & you pulled it off. Very good shot & exposure, I also like the noise/grain in the green/yellow & blue background as it seems to really suit this shot.
The lighting is showing off the texture here too......nudge nudge, wink wink.:-)
