Cool take on it - looking out from the TV. I like that perspective. Thanks. :) As for the beam.... I thought this little bugger lit up red when pressed - it did not. I could have PSed it in, but it seemed to be somewhat cliche. If I were using it for a CD cover, I'd have it designed so there was a little red LED placed right there on the front of the package. LOL! ~ Lonnit

When looking at this photo I see the distorted TV screen in reverse - like looking from the inside of the television out. Agree that it is very artistic. I also wonder what a little infrared color would add to this beautiful disproportioned B&W. Just wonderful!! jano

Thanks all. :)

Ahhh, yes, Techo - the shaving of the mustache. Good memory! ~ Lonnit

Lonnit, perhaps I remember him from a cslr entry? He's the fellow with the moustache? I remember him in two entries, The Have And Have Not's and another I think it was in a recent CSLR Emotions challenge . Maybe I confused him with someone else, sorry about that.

Thanks Pf. Techo, when did you see my husband? I don't recall entering him in a challenge. My kids are a recurring theme, but I don't recall Budget making an appearance here. ~ Lonnit

Excellent BW effect, the grain is also appropriate. I like the oof of everything but the remote control and the thumb. Very well done, Lonnit.

I was thinking the same thing... I usually expect either of your family members in your people shots, so I see this bloke and think he looks nothing like your husband.
Very interesting, the f2.8 really worked well here and has that nice bokeh.

Thanks Techo. Funny thing is that this is my husband and it looks nothing at all like him! This image sort of looks nineteen-sixty-something, British band album cover-ish. He looks sort of spindly-thin in a turtleneck shirt here, but he's actually a very barrel-chested broad, shouldered, hulk of a guy that could never even fit is neck into a turtleneck! LOL! But the important thing here is the perspective and that really worked out just the way I wanted. :) ~ Lonnit

Ooh, I really like this one. I like the emboss type of effect and the nice touch with the addition of some grain.

Phew! After our discussion on DOF, I then go and submit this entry, which pretty much flies in the face of what I was saying.... However, in this shot, the shallow DOF doesn't seem to indicate the face is all that much further behind the hand. Plus, I just really liked the way it turned out so I wanted to see if others liked it too. ~ Lonnit

only one word...off-topic...hehehehe...just kidding...
this is simply awesome! very simple, to-the-point and effective shot. -Abstract
for the *...i am tempted to see how does this shot looks with the infrared color from the remote?
