Nice one Lee. Great family/conversation/on-topic all rolled into one picture... You are getting great results with your new SLR. -Cat

jstrong, we did go shopping shortly after this and she got what she wanted. 8-)
alexeig, as I understood the challenge, it was not so much about the drink but the interaction during and after the drink. theFly

This is a great picture about communication between father and daughter. I do not see much of a drink though
janewigginsphotography02-May-2005 02:06
I have the feel that your daughter is asking for something she really wants and trying to use her girlie wiles to get out of you, which she most certainly has a chance at - all done over a glass of milk. As far as the * ... i agree on minor details suggested in previous posts. Otherwise, great photo, well done, and IMO (lol) excellent. jstrong

Great natural looking photo
Techo 01-May-2005 20:49
excellent! tells a wonderful story and brings back those wonderful memories. about the *, perhaps tilting the photo just a tad counter clockwise so the top of the cabinets is level or use a tad of distort, to get rid of the thin sliver of wallpaper visible right above your head.

Lovely shot, agree with beforementioned posts.

Thnks Shu and Paul! Hair and teeth are all original. Hair just slightly grey. 8-) theFly
Paul 01-May-2005 07:58
In agreement with the others, i love the feel of this photo
Rod 01-May-2005 04:47
Shu even though Lee has all his own teeth & hair is his face a lot nicer than mine?(with me teeth in of course):-)
Shu01-May-2005 03:57
The Fly has a nice face! This is a wonderful image! So captivating! Shu

Thanks All!
Dorys, Yes that is me.
RK, It was meant to look like a candit. But it was set up with a tripod and self timer.
Rod, Really miss the revserable LCD on my G3. Other than that, it is really easy to use.

Rod, I was trying to pass on a subtle complement. You have to go and spoil it!!!.

Rod 01-May-2005 01:48
RK, Lee took the shot, so there’s only two ways it could be a candid. 1, he's old like me & forgot about the camera when he sat down. Or 2 he's schizophrenic:-)
Guest 01-May-2005 01:26
great composition Lee. I like that both of you (assuming this is you) are cropped.
ctfchallenge01-May-2005 01:22
Great candid (if it is one). Natural expressions, warm colors...great picture.
My kids really love this picture.

Lovely shot Lee, you haven't missed a beat going to the slr mate. The great thing about this shot is how natural it looks. Not an easy thing to do. Well done Lee.

Thanks all! We really had fun doing this. Some daddy daughter time. She liked the cookies the best. 8-)

Nugar, thanks for the suggestion. Did some things similar, but it blocked the drink. theFly

Excellent image Lee! This images screams LOVE all around! I really like the lighting, the DOF, the compo, crop. You've got a winner here, no doubt.

* ? => maybe (just maybe) your hand on her shoulder/back would reinforce the connection betewwn both of you, but as it is the facial expressions do it.
ctfchallenge30-Apr-2005 18:59
What a nice warm picture. And isn't that what cookies and milk are all about?
