Ha ha Uncle Rod, the hand is not a distraction at all. Just felt like teasing me ole mate (hmm, I'm speaking Australian now).
Rod 07-May-2005 09:48
Sheila's hands are far from ugly mate. So this shot is great & me other two are only awesome a?
You're a hard judge aammm:-) Thanks mate.

IMO, this is the best entry you've submitted Uncle Rod. So crisp, so simple, so clean, and so vivid. Though that "Sheila" hand is a bit of a distraction (ie. ugly).

Clean and crisp. Good light
Shu01-May-2005 03:53
Rod, you're obviously no "Sheila!" Believe me! Shu

nice shot rod. i like the simplicty of this.

Artiiiistic licence Andy, everything is as green as can be with our recent rains along the coast. I would have to travel 1000klms to Pauls garden to get a shot of parched desolation:-)

I think this is a spot on interpretation or rather the idea is. To me the hand and bottle take up too much space and sky is too big. I'd like a horizon. Surely you've got one up in Queensland somewhere.

Andy

:-) You're doing the accent well Shu, just don't call me a Sheila:-)

I like this, Mate!! (Oh, now you've got me doing it!) Great clarity and color. Shu

This is excellent Rod. From the thumbnail and the title i knew what it was about and it works very well indeed. It's also a representation of the topic that i never considered but is bang on. Good stuff

Love that feature were you can delete your own stupid comments. Sorry Uncle Rod if the comments below makes you look like you are talking to yourself :)

Nice shot!
Rod 30-Apr-2005 03:48
amm, the water is falling straight down to the parched earth just like real rain.....sort of.
I hope you're not the same with jokes you will ruin em:-)
Rod 30-Apr-2005 03:31
Yes amm it means thirst hot & dry land etc.
Rod 30-Apr-2005 03:21
amm, you have to read the artiiiiiists comments mate. The composition is for ""A little spring water for the parched earth"" Not me parched mouth. That's wot a beer is for:-)
ctfchallenge30-Apr-2005 03:15
Makes me feel thirsty looking at it. The blue sky, water drops, the condensation on the bottle and the human element makes it a great composition. Great work.
