Nice job!

Wow! Excellent tips. It never crossed my mind that I could clone from the original (what a concept). Find myself little intimidated by PS, as there is so much one could do with it..
I am going to use this new technique and try correcting the hat (hopefully) before the challenge ends..
Thanks everyone for the wonderful/helpful feedback and tips.

I like the camera shake, it makes it more real in a way.

I don't know exactly what you did but the hat is still blurred. You need to go back to the original unblurred image and clone from there.

The way i fix this sort of issue is...(1) put an original image (not cloned) in a layer underneath the processed one (2) apply layer-mask on the top layer (3) use small and solid brush to make a hole (dont know how to say in technically correct way) in the layer-mask to get the edge from original image. -Abstract

Yes, I agree with abstract here. You need to use a very small and not too soft cloning brush near edges or they get blurred. I would also increase the contrast by lighting up the mid tones more.

Abstract, good catch. I thought it won't be noticeable!. Fixed the hat. Thanks.

you did a good job in removing the sign board but unfortunately managed to blur the hat edge in the process...which is distracting. just my 2 cents. -Abstract

Sorry, I deleted my comment by mistake. Here it is again.
Great shot but I agree with Andy about the yellow-orangy tint. A more brownish sepia looks more artistic - now the color attracts too much attention. Try desaturating the image by 50 percent and then adjust the Levels to get more contrast. I also would get rid of the big white signboard just behind his face and hat.
Just my idea.

Thanks Julian & Andy for the feedback. I am going work on the color and the whiteboard.

Nice shot. *I would prefer a little more space on the side where he's looking. And a little less yellow in the tone. (i'm no expert)

i like the mood in the shot. maybe it is "almost texan", thats why :) good shot RK.

VERY nice shot, well done RK.

Hey, I like it better now! Nice Post-processing!
ctfchallenge18-Apr-2005 01:29
Thanks Nugar. I am just getting used to this lens. I have to keep reminding myself that the shutter speed should be inverse of the focal length.

Hi RK,

Nice Image. * To imporve this picture, don't be afraid to use iso400. That would give you the oportunity of using a faster shutter speed. At this length, you need about 1/200 to get a sharp image.
