LOL Rod. Sorry , I may have been a bit too harsh :-( Now that I look at it, it's not so bad. But still think it's a little too blurry(maybe because of noise reduction applied to the sky?) but it grows on me. With everything else being so sharp it appears to be a bit out of place. All in all, no doubt in my mind, I like this photo.

That's charming Techo, me crane's a total blur is it? You should have heard wot me missus called you:-)hehe
Techo 27-Mar-2005 20:54
We can all politely disagree or have different thoughts :) I agree with Paul on how nicely the crane led your eyes all the way up to the sky but one of the reasons I think it had to be removed that it was distracting in a sense that it was a total blur and not really recognizable. Without the crane being in the photo I think the sky or front road needs to cropped off a tad?

Whatever you do just don't delete my message again, i'm sick of retyping the bugger.

I Think I'd rather not have comments if you all can't agree:-) Wot do I do now about the bleeding crane? As you all know I'm not interested in wot's a good photo I only want to know wot will get me the most votes. I can't have Paul beating me in his first challenge:-)

Hey Rod, maybe you could photoshop in a crane flying by? LOL :-) Rich. Still a fine shot.
Paul 26-Mar-2005 20:46
I want the crane back! My original comment that kept on disapearring was that i loved the way you were drawn in to the image down the driveway and then up with the crane into the clouds which then led you back to the foreground and to the wonderful detail in the cracked bitumen in a continuous loop. Great colours too.
Also with the crane it made the thumbnail image at a quick glance have an uncanny resemblance to looking up at Parliament House in Canberra with the huge flagpole on the roof.
I still like this photo a lot but prefer the crane version.

Pops and me much agree about the crane, glad you decided to clone it out Rod :-)

It works for me. The greasy or wet stain on the ground adds to the interest.

I was looking at the crane as a minor triangle, so here it is how Pops suggested. Thanks all for the comments:-)

Well, I've got a slightly differ take on this one. The perspective gives me the strong diagonals and triagles but the crane is a distraction. I'd clone that puppy out!

I like how this draws you into the triangle of the crane, although it's very subtle at this size. Tom
