Thanks again Nugar. I'm trying to find a lens that similarly fits the range of the S410 I have. It's not always wide enough, but the 3x zoom is something I'm used to for a general purpose zoom. The Canon EF-S 17mm - 85mm looks to have what I want but I read the image quality is not as good for the price and when compared to some Sigma or Tamron lenses. So far your photo posts and comments have helped a lot. I know the pictures where perhaps pre-processed in some form but if they look that good then, then that's ok with me.

No problem. Of the lenses I have, the one I recommend without reserve is the Sigma.

Thanks Nugar :)

Oops, sorry I tried to set it, but PBase's list of lenses was somewhat shorted and didn't place it manually. It is the Sigma 70-200 f/2.8

Hi Nugar. What lens would that be? is it the Canon 200mm prime?
Nugar22-Mar-2005 01:54
Thanks Techo, I have another photo of another swimmer that I took on the same day and it amazes me that in the full 100% image, I can read the brand on the goggles! The resolution of this lens is just incredible to me.

Nugar don't be too surprised, I had good feeling it was you posting this photo :-)
Great job with the composition, the capture of the right stroke is right on. Nothing I would change about it.
