Shot through the legs of the Gateway Arch from the riverfront facing downtown. The 630 foot stainless steel arch is a monument to the spirit of the western pioneers. Because St. Louis was the starting point for many wagon trains heading west during the western expension, the city became known as the Gateway to the West.
