Great shot!! I've never seen a shot like this before, you did a great job!
RE: "security threat"
Security threat: old lady photographing an airplane from the ground.
They took her camera, film, I.D. and "questioned her". Isn't that a joke! (?)
Why is it photographing from the GROUND is perceived as so dangerous? Overkill!!

Thank you for posting this. Markjay

Incredible shot! Whenever I've flown commercially, my window has never been clean enought to get decent pictures of anything.

Thanks again, I just wish I would have been able to capture more of the 'golden' part of the sunrise. At altitude, though, you only get just a minute or two right when the sun breaks above the horizon. The timing just didn't work out.

I salute you! Great shot! No way you'd get me up there, thanks for sharing. - Tom

I'm ok folks, I'm not showing you anything that isn't already published in JANE'S. Now, if I were to show you the ones where we refuel the UFO derived vehicles with the anti-gravity technology, then I'd be in trouble :)

I had the same thoughts as Thubleau. Are you sure you checked the guidelines, we don't want you to get in trouble.
ctfchallenge09-Feb-2005 11:59
Does the military allow public posting of this kind.
Could it be perceived as some kind of security threat by them ?
Just thought I would ask but I guess they have some guidlines.

Thanks, and thanks. In my excitement I forgot to take out the tail number, uploading the photos was literally the first thing I did when I got home. Getting these photos was great, but getting to Alaska was a bit more rare...I just wish I had been able to get more photos while I was there (I had low angle sun for hours, and no car to get around in!!!)

Great picture. I think maybe you should clone the ID number on the jet.

The shot looks terrific. I think it would have looked better if you had got the pilot to wave:-)
