Ahhhhh, I think the looking-over-the-spectacles angle has added some years, and that the red hair looking grey added more. Phew! If you were older it would have popped my bubble - I think of you as so peer-y. LOL! ~ Lonnit

Good choice of using black and white and I especially like the grain in the image. The image is really strong and speaks for itself. Keep up the good work.

Lonnit, hair is still red, age is the same as yours. I think the heat yesterday made me look 20 years older!

Luvvit! This story reminds me of my dad getting angry, he'd say "read the signs Paul" i.e. the signs of his anger at whatever we/I was doing, and we just used to mock him and say "read the signs, read the signs" !!!! THought i'd share that :)

Gayle, that is a super shot! Lot's of mood/emotions. Very well done. Amusingly, you have proven that paybacks are indeed a bitch! I listened to you when you kicked me in the arse a few challenges back, and came up with a great shot, and in payback I kicked your butt in gear to go do a self portrait and you came up with this great shot - however it's a bitchy look, proving, as I said, that literally, paybacks are a bitch! LMAO!!!!!

BTW, changed your hair color? You were red - is this grey or blonde? Are you older than I thought???? ~ Lonnit

Rod, take a browse in the challenge galleries from about a year ago...and before that. I had done heaps of black and white stuff (complete with film grain) then decided I much preferred colour. But this one works only in BW.....the colour version has no impact at all.

Well, well, bleeding well. It's not easy taking a self portrait without it looking set up & false. But here we have a photograph (Image) that works really well. I'm in shock & almost, I said almost speechless. Gayle doing B&W with no appendage surrounding the shot, lots of film type grain which suits this shot really well. Steve Parish would roll over in his erm...bed if could see what you have done here. I thought it would take a few years before you got to this point, & don't you dare take this down, for me this is your best shot to date. I salute you mate. I should say matess:-)
