Techo, did you notice that NY women have really white left legs:-)
Techo 04-Jan-2005 04:53
Good catch Lonnit. For some reason this shot reminds me of some nieghborhoods in NYC and NJ. Mostly some portions of Brooklyn. I think it's becuase the way those ladies are dressed.

Yeh I used to have a look at your old sig when me missus left the room to make a cuppa tea:-)
ctfchallenge30-Dec-2004 06:13
Well there's no bum there worth checking out. Hey, did you ever see my old sig? Double bumming! LOL! ~ Lonnit
Rod 29-Dec-2004 05:49
Silly billy I'm not referring to blown highlights, it's just that the lightness of the left legs distracts me eyes. I'm more a bum bloke:-)

Sometimes naughty is nice. I guess in this case it wasn't. BTW, you're the one that's making more diligent about blown highlights. Thanks. :) As soon as I started working this shot I knew that leg was in dangerous territory and so I made sure I kept an eye on it. ~ Lonnit

Bleeding L Lonnit you want me to download the shot into PS & have a good look at the girl’s legs. Me missus keeps an eye on me when I'm on the computer:-) I might be old fashioned but adding elements to photos on the computer aint the way to learn photography. You're just being naughty.
ctfchallenge28-Dec-2004 06:43
Nope Rod, you know that I busted my h*mp making sure I didn't blow any hightlights. Her leg only looks blown by comparison to the darker tones. Pull it into photoshop and you'll see it's well within range. As for the banding - that's intentional. I did it to age the photo and play on the fact that it's raining. :) You can still hate it if you want. I'm ok with that. :) ~ Lonnit

The contrast may be too much as the girls left legs stand out as pure white. There's also a vertical banding right across the shot more noticeable on the sidewalk. You might need the 20D as that has horizontal banding problems:-)
