I think this should also be on topic. The image was correctly exposed, but I chose to overexpose it on the raw converter so the egg white would be featureless. Boosted contrast a bit with curves also.

Thanks, Techo. The egg white was actually "e-ironed" for the purposes of this challenge :)
Techo 09-Oct-2004 20:21
I like this one better aswell :-)

Rod 08-Oct-2004 13:25
For me that is a lot better. It's now a photograph & on topic:-)Well done
Nugar08-Oct-2004 00:34
LoL! Not really, but I've been married for 14 years, and I've learned a bit. Just enough to survive!

Well Rod, I made the white less white, not 255/255/255 anymore, but a bit less so. I hope this is still minimalist!

You must have been talking to my husband Nugar! LOL Dorys

Nugar05-Oct-2004 12:04
Yup, gotta be nice with girls. Otherwise they can make your life miserable!
Rod 05-Oct-2004 10:49
Gday Nugar
255-255-255 is that your way of saying bright?:-) Why didn't you get Dory's to recalibrate her monitor, just because she's a girl?:-) (I think Dory's is a girls name):-)
Nugar04-Oct-2004 17:18
I guess it is "pure" 255/255/255, that we associate with blown. I'll see what happens if I try to tone down that white. Thanks for your comments Dorys!

Yes, it's quite brite. But quite on point. Very good job.

LOL

Gday Nugar
My monitor is roughly calibrated with PS calibration thingy. The shot looks great now.(I'm wearing my sun glasses):-))
Nugar03-Oct-2004 12:08
Thanks for your words, Rod... No I haven't tried different shades of white. I wanted it to be overexposed so it was a featureless white. Is your monitor calibrated?
Rod 03-Oct-2004 11:18
Well done Nugar, now we're getting down & minimal mate. Have you tried differing degrees of white? As on my monitor it's overly bright. A good idea & well taken.
Nugar02-Oct-2004 17:05
Thanks Andy, after reading more about these minimalist artists, I see that this is something the might have done...

Another very nice, basic image Nugar. A good display of geometry in an everyday object. I think the overexposure works here.
