My Comfort Zone

My favorite jeans and knock around boots. One of my "little people" by my side. A little soft on the focus since sometimes my focus on things around me gets a little off and I have to get myself back on track.

Canon EOS 10D ,Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM
1/60s f/4.0 at 29.0mm iso100 with Flash full exif

I was going to inform you that those bracelets are sold out everywhere, but I just checked www.laf.org, and now they aren't listed as sold out, although they do have a 3 week shipping delay. I'm glad that your son is interested in cycling and knows all about Lance. For some kids, the Live Strong bracelet is just a fashion statement. --Garrett

garrett, thanks for the clarification. I think more people than you think would have understood it. I have been trying to find one of those bracelets for two of my kids. I have been planning on going on line to buy from the foundation but just haven't. my son in this picture, after watching the tour de france decided he wanted to be just like lance and win the tour. Amazing what that man has been through. the other racers say that is why he can ride through the amazing pain that any ordinary person couldn't handle, since he has been at death's door and suffered unimaginable pain with his cancer. Being from Texas, everyone here wears the bracelets and my son had a friend give him one of his extras and he never takes it off.

Live Strong is a resource for cancer survivors. Two weeks ago, I took a photo of Lance Armstrong signing a Live Strong bracelet. I would have submitted it to the "Survival" challenge, but it had a distracting background. I guess it's just as well, as it seems that not many people would have understood it. --Garrett

lol rod, no dame is not a bad word in my neighborhood, that yellow thing on his wrist is a livestrong bracelet that is all the rage around here. Lance Armstrong of tour de france fame, started selling them for his foundation that raises money for cancer research or something along those lines and yes it is a boy. It took some effort to get him to work with me. I would have liked one without the sock but his good nature and patience was thru at that point.

That's a great crop Melissa, I love that look & the soft focus suits the dizzy busy dame that you are(I hope dame's not a naughty word in the US):-) Is your son handcuffed or is that a hospital tag on his wrist (gee I hope it's a boy):-)
