Beyond Help (*)

Harrison Hot Springs, BC

'Angela' has been in my family now for 4 generations. When I carefully unwrapped her to photograph her for this challenge, her broken body, and vacant, glassy eyed stare, reminded me all too well of the many young people I have met during my son's addiction to heroin. Although my son is now well on his way to recovery, many of his friends have not been so lucky. They too, are broken and abandoned.

Tracy--I'm so glad the images are now lined up in a row! I hope they stay that way because they create quite an impression. Shu

I, too, recognize the empty stare in the eyes of your doll, having been in close contact with a family member suffering from addiction. For those of us who have experienced the fear and hopelessness of the situation, this image is most powerful. Shu

i feel that this is the most powerfull of the three doll images, and you should def. put the caption that you put in the first on this one as well... Best of luck to your son and his recovery.
