Street of Dreams*

The Hollywood Walk of Fame, near Graumman's Chinese Theater on Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood. Most people think of the WOF as just for movies, but it also honors those from radio, television and music.

Thanks for the critique, Lonnit. You have a point about balance, I'd have liked to have caught the person about a half-step earlier, and/or perhaps moved slightly to the right. I guess (in true Hollywood film tradition) I can always go back to re-shoot the "scene."

What I'd really like to do, though, would be to shoot a long exposure straight down from a height. It would catch these ghostly images of people walking through, the stars in static counterpoint.

Hmmmm... I'm having a problem with this one. It's almost there, but I can't put my finger on it. Maybe it troubles me that the feet and the angles of the star fight eachother? The 2 stars and the feet compose a nice triangle, but I think if the feet were positioned so that angle of the leading line of the bottom star was pointing at them, instead of missing them it would be more balanced. Yes, I think that's it b/c right now the feet are above the upper left intersection of thirds, throwing the balance off. If the were right on the intersection they'd be in a better place ON the grid and then additionally the star lines would lead you right to it.

OTOH, who the heck am I to be critiquing a Sumi?!!! ~ Respectfully, Lonnit
