* Paw Print on the Roof

Queens, NY

Just another cracked area of roofing where they slathered on some tar in an attempt to stop the leaks. If you're wondering why flat roofs covered in asphalt always leak, this is why!

I didn't actually crop it to put in the text; the text was added afterwards. I actually cropped it too tight when I took it. I think the problem was that I needed a wider angle lens to fit in more space around it. Yes, I agree that it could use more space above and below. Just trying to explain the miscropping was a during thought not an afterthought! LOL! ;) ~ Lonnit

I understand the poster idea but I still think that the text should be smaller so you can get a bit more room around the paw print up and down. Left and right there is enough but the paw print feels a bit squeezed between the upper and lower edges. Just my idea.

I made it poster style b.c. it is perfect for my husband's office that way. He's a contractor and one of his specialties is waterproofing leaky flat roofs. So, there's an irony in hanging this in his office as a decoration. :) As for the space around it, I'll have to wait until it stops raining, and get up there with a different lens to get a wider angle. ~ Lonnit

I like the image very much but it deserves to be a bit larger, with a smaller frame and without the text - that would make it a lot stronger imho.
Do you have a bit more space around the paw print or can you get up on the roof again?
