* Leapord on the Roof

Queens, NY

When this theme was announced, I ran right up to the rooftop because I'd done some shots up there recently and I knew I'd find stuff underfoot up there! :) This is just the roofing material exhibiting its typical weathering.

Neil,
I'm very pleased that you looked for a long time. Isn't that what we hope for! I just loved teh abstract quality and I knew it would never be recognized for what it was. There's a ton of such artwork on every flat tar roof! :) ~ Lonnit

Yes, 246 looks and no comments. Always unbelievable to me - and yet it's holding it's own in the challenge. People just aren't talking lately in general. I had pulled an image from one of the challenges b/c it had 129 views and no comments. I figured they must have hated it! I was surprised this one wasn't getting comments and thought I just must be the only freak that liked it - guess again! LOL! ;)

I didn't change the color, just saturated and perhaps contrasted it more to exaggerate it. I don't have a larger version on line, but I can tell you that you are not looking at snow. What you are seeing is purely a result of weathering on the dry roof. It would not likely have been noticed by anyone else - it's one of those Lonnit things! LOL!

Thanks Dave. ~ Lonnit

I had looked at this for a long time from lots of different angles and still didn't know what it was - then I read your description and it all became very clear (well almost) - very artistic, and yes it does look like a Leapord. Neil

246 looks and no comments?
I like the pic. Is the color the way it is on the roof, or was it added.
Could you put a link to a larger sized picture. My eyes are playing so
many tricks on me I'd like to see it a little larger. To me, it look's like
a snow covered roof with a melted patch where the gold is.
Keep up the good work. dave v.
