Mission to Mars*

This is IFC2 -- the International Finance Center Two in Hong Kong.
At 88 stories, it is the tallest building in Hong Kong and
the 6th-tallest in the world, behind Taipei 101, the Petronas Towers (two of them)
in Kuala Lumpur, the Sears Tower in Chicago, and the Jin Mao Tower in Shanghai.

I shot this from the Star Ferry elevated parking garage as it neared completion.
The cladding hadn't gone on yet and the crane lights were still lighting the top.
Seeing a city-sized rocket ship, I put it at an angle, left a street light for ignition,
and sent it on its way into the clouds.

I seldom look at my old photos, but in scanning the galleries
for low light shots I was pleased to see this one again.

other sizes: small medium original auto
