The Getty Museum, Los Angeles

One of my favorite places to photograph is the Getty Museum. Its hilltop location commands a sweeping panorama of Los Angeles from downtown to the Pacific Ocean. Whether one's photographic interest is architecture, cityscapes, flowers or people, this is an ideal place to shoot.

I like this the best of your 3. The scenery on the left is a nice contract to the modern lines of the building. Neil

Hi Alexeig, thaks for your comment. Actually, on the 10D the 17mm setting is effectively about a 27mm (in 35mm terms). Still waiting for a full frame DSLR that we mere mortals can afford.

Beautiful mesh of lines. I would love to have this wide capability

TheFly, Gayle and Bee, thanks for your comments. It's a great location that almost never disappoints. If you ever have the opportunity to visit the Getty, let me know and it would be fun to shoot together.

Paul, you composed this well and took advantage of the wide angle beautifully...Bee

This one really does it for me, Paul. It makes me want to go down those steps or around the building to see what's there. I keep coming back to look again and again....for me, that makes it a very worthwhile photo.
