I can't comment on the twig or leaves? Joined later but I can say that I like this image - the way this is composed really draws the attention to the beautiful eyes and the reaching out paws in an attractive way...nice shot, Neil...Cheers, Bee

Thanks for the comments. I have cloned out the leaves/twigs as suggested. I kind of like the previous version though - the 'distracting background elements' kind of gave it a bit of balance or something?? - Neil
