Three french icons *

Paris, France

I think that these are the three most representative french icons: blue cheese, white bread and red wine (this represents also the french flag's colours). This is the traditional french meal after me.

I took a lot of shots with the same idea, but I think this is the more representative one. Got a lot of problems with the light, so I hope this perspective is looking fine. I used PS to make uniform background.

The wine is for my mom's aniversary that is soon, so I hope I didn't shake it too much :)

That's what was intended originaly Pops, but after a big discussion with my mom, she convinced me to keep the whole bottle. I did it in the beginning to the half of the bottle, the whole ensemble with macro on the cheese and bigger, but well this way is not bad too.
I would loved to buy some photo lightning, but it's still expensive for me unfortunately. First thing to buy next will be a 300D :)

I like it without a distracting back ground. The lack of background focuses in on the three icons. I would have cropped it vertically though.

Thanks for the commentary, but my studio is only 12m², I don't even have a big table, so it's difficult to have a "nice" big one :p The best one would be to have many french things in a nice basket in some garden outdoors, but the weather in Paris in this moment is rainy.

As for the angle, I would like to make it again, but I don't have too much time unfortunately (last year in the university). It's good for me those kind of comments, that helps me to progress in photography, because i'm still a beginner.

You have done well with icons that are immediately recognised as French. It would have been a good challenge to have a nice table and background to go with them. How would they look if shot from slightly lower down?
